Turn It On Electric
Phoenix, AZ Full Time
POSTED ON 6/24/2022 CLOSED ON 10/6/2022

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Electrician position at Turn It On Electric?

Turn It On Electric is a company built on the belief that if we take care of the customer, they’ll take care of us. Our goal is to grow the service side of our business, so we can continue to pay above market rate, reward our employees, and invest in each team member’s personal growth and development. Whether you’re on a construction project or servicing our customers you know you’re helping us achieve this goal.

We offer:

  • A positive, upbeat, forward-thinking culture. We do things differently than other electricians in Phoenix.
  • A fully-stocked service truck. No more running around town picking up supplies.
  • Company provided technology. Enjoy the use of an iPhone and iPad.
  • Training and ongoing personal and professional development. We know you want to grow as a Construction Journeyman Electrician and make more money doing it.
  • Open communication and real-time feedback.
  • A team that works closely together to complete projects.
  • Little oversight of the work you’re doing. We’ll be picky about the finished product, but how you get there is up to you as long as you’re not taking short cuts and it’s up to code.
  • $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Paid holidays, paid time off, 401k, and health sharing.

What You’re Responsible For

Being a Journeyman Electrician for Service isn't about pulling cable and correctly hooking up power – although that is a part of the job. You'll be responsible for making sure the customer receives 5-star service every step of the way.

To succeed in this position, you must:

  • Be an experienced electrician with 3-5 years of experience in the field.
  • Have at least 2 years experience as a Journeyman Electrician in Service
  • Have your own hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, socket set, hammer, small drill & bits, and tester.
  • Be neat, presentable, and professional. The way you present yourself is a direct reflection on Turn It On Electric. You know the importance of first impressions.
  • Be customer service oriented. This is more than putting in a good day’s work. You’re willing to go out of your way to deliver excellent service to all of our customers.
  • Be positive. We all know a few “Negative Nellies.” We do our best to build a team of positive thinking people. We know you’ll have a bad day once in a while and we’ll work through it. Overall your outlook about the career you’ve chosen should be a positive one.
  • Be able to communicate professionally with our customers. They may have electrical needs outside of the work you’re there to complete. Being able to speak with them about it and upsell them on additional service work is part of the job.

Here’s a short list of some of the things that you’ll do on a regular basis:

  • Provide amazing service to our customers.
  • Make a positive contribution to our culture.
  • Encourage and support your teammates.
  • Operate any hand tools, power tools, and equipment necessary to get the job done correctly.
  • Effectively communicate the status of jobs you’re working on with the office and your team.
  • Accurately complete all job-related paperwork.
  • Leave the job site cleaner than you found it.
  • Follow the electric code and do your job properly and safely.
  • Bend conduit correctly and without wasting.
  • Safely work from heights.
  • Use your knowledge of NEC.

What We’re Looking For

We’ll start by sharing what we’re not looking for. We're not looking for someone who wants to punch a clock and do enough to get the job done quickly. We’re not looking for someone who is satisfied with the status quo.

At Turn It On Electric, our electricians go out of their way to make sure the final product is of the quality our customers deserve – even if something was done incorrectly by someone else, we correct it!

To make sure you'll fit in with our team, it's important you understand who we are and what drives us. Continue reading and if you think you'd be an excellent fit for our team, make sure to apply today! We’re always looking for the right people who want to grow with us as we expand our commitment to our customers.

If it's not right, we’re not done.
We work safely, per code, and with integrity. We perform as a team when we step into our individual roles and own them. We always ask, “What can I do to make it right?” Because no project, task, or responsibility is fulfilled until it’s right by our customer, right by our vendors, and right by each other.

We're servant leaders.
We serve our customers while leading them expertly and efficiently. We deliver authority, along with courtesy and respect. At every turn, we use our knowledge, resources, and experience to solve problems. But we’re also committed to listening and being fair. This kind of outstanding support sets us apart.

We choose growth.
As a company and as people, we don’t stay comfortable. We’re dedicated to professional growth. We’re intentional about training hard and improving ourselves. What’s more, we’re open-minded and agree that mistakes are chances for us to learn. We teach and encourage each other. We push our team to be better.

We take care of the company.
Here's the deal: If we take care of the company, the company stays strong and viable well into the future. You have job security. A place to call home, where you enjoy your work as you provide for your family. We pull our own weight. And then some. When we do, Turn It On Electric is the reputable, successful industry leader we’re all proud of.
