Under the direction of the Inbound Operations Manager, this position is responsible to provide leadership and direction to the receiving department in areas of responsibility including administration, receiving, scheduling employees, quality, accountability, safety and sanitation.
Year 1 is going to be about:
- Monitor department and individual KPI’s to ensure productivity goals are met. Work with employees to improve performance to standards as needed.
- Execute weekly performance conversations with employees delivering their weekly metrics.
- Conducts start-up meetings with receiving associates to discuss daily results, shift and departmental goals, safety/housekeeping issues, and work assignments.
- Operate material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift, order picker, reach truck etc.) as required.
- Responsible for the efficient operations of the WMS (Powerhouse) and assuring ADP data is updated and submitted to HR.
- Extensive adhoc analysis and report building including on-time receiving and Dock to Stock analysis.
- Coordinates and resolves issues with shipping department & purchasing departments
- Researches and compiles historical receiving data and competitive analysis.
- Frequent communication with material vendors to ensure necessary supply of receiving material available at all times.
- Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the receiving department in an organized, safe and sanitary work environment that is in compliance with Turn5 policies, OSHA and government regulations.
- Coordinates the load out schedule with outside contractors to ensure the timely and accurate daily load out.
- Ensure that inventory is put away appropriately and efficiently and processed in a timely and safe manner by following established procedures.
- Contains and/or reduces cost and drives productivity within the department.
We can’t skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a “must” to be successful. So, we need you to have:
- 2-4 years of experience in a related environment serving in a similar leadership capacity
- Education: Undergraduate degree in business or related field, or 2 to 4 years relevant work experience.
- Experience: 2 to 4-year experience in a related environment.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to push & pull items weighing up to 60lbs
- Ability to lift & lower items weighing up to 60lbs
