Yard Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Yard Manager to oversee the operations of our yard. As the Yard Manager, you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials, coordinating with suppliers and carriers, and ensuring efficient operations within the yard. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and multi-tasking skills

Duties:

-All aspects of customer service
- Manage the overall operations of the yard, including receiving, storage, and distribution of materials and special projects
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues or delays
- Oversee inventory control and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
- Supervise a team of warehouse personnel, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Implement warehouse management systems to streamline operations and improve productivity
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the potential for seamless operations

Requirements:
-Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work.
- Proven experience as a Yard Manager or similar role in a distribution center or warehouse setting-Must be able to work all day in an outdoor setting.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
