Turner Padget Graham and Laney, PA is seeking a highly motivated Worker's Compensation Paralegal in our Charleston office.
Essential duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Document creation, filing, management and analysis for large cases
- Scheduling
- Medical record summaries and chronologies
- Procurement of medical records/HIPAA compliance
- Preparation and service of subpoenas and other discovery requests
- Preparation of pleadings and discovery responses
- Preparation of routine status reports to clients or national counsel
- Statewide roster/docket monitoring
- Electronic filings/ECF with Federal Court
- Tracking of time spent on client matters and enter time in CMS billing system in a timely matter
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor of Arts degree or Paralegal Certification
- 4-6 years of Worker's Compensation experience
- Experience in insurance company billing requirements
- Experience tracking and billing time spent on client matters
- Experience with Case Management Software
Candidates should have the following skills and/or attributes:
- Keen attention to detail and organization
- Thorough understanding of the litigation process
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc....)
- Professional demeanor, excellent communication and computer skills and the ability to manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Firm-minded, client focused and demonstrates a positive team spirit
