Turner Staffing Group is seeking an experienced GPS Bulldozer Operator to join our client in Northern Mississippi! As a GPS Bulldozer Operator, you will be responsible for operating bulldozers equipped with GPS technology to perform grading, excavation, and leveling tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GPS systems, experience operating GPS-enabled bulldozers, and the ability to achieve accurate grade control.
Responsibilities:
- Operate bulldozers equipped with GPS technology for grading, excavation, and leveling tasks
- Utilize the GPS system to achieve accurate grade control and positioning of the bulldozer's blade
- Read and interpret digital designs, construction plans, or CAD files loaded into the GPS system
- Collaborate with surveyors to obtain topographic data and input it into the GPS system
- Perform excavation and earthmoving tasks according to project requirements
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the bulldozer and report any equipment malfunctions
- Coordinate with team members, including surveyors and supervisors, for efficient operations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any incidents or safety concerns
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating bulldozers with GPS technology in grading or excavation projects
- Strong understanding and proficiency in using GPS systems for grade control
- Ability to read and interpret digital designs, construction plans, or CAD files
- Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines for equipment operation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
