Job Description
Turner & Townsend are seeking a Planner/Scheduler to be part of a dynamic Program delivery team, hybrid location (Remote & Site based), responsible for planning and scheduling activities over routine maintenance and small CAPEX & OPEX Portfolio of one of our Key Client’s Technology Campus programs in Houston.
The successful candidate must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. The candidate must have a proven track record of working as a Planner/Scheduler professional on Small/Mid Capital projects within industrial real estate sector. Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to coordinate & organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Chair the weekly interactive planning session with site-wide stakeholders.

- Develops good working relationships with project team.
- Implement Project Planning & Scheduling strategy and plans reflecting both client’s and contractor roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) in alignment with Project Lead, Project cost engineer and contractor project controls leads, and in conjunction with Project Execution Plans.
- Promote and maintain the overall integration and integrity of contractor schedules within the Program suite of project schedules.
- Provide interface and quality assurance to Project functional groups and contractors regarding the tracking and reporting of schedule performance.
- Support the Project Team in the implementation of an integrated enterprise based cross functional and EPC master schedule program.
- Preparing Staffing, Engineering and Construction progress and customized reports.
- Perform Critical Path Analysis.
- Conduct the required project schedule analysis for the portfolio.
- Analyze deviations from the baseline in the portfolio master plan highlighting bottlenecks / delays and propose corrective actions.
- Prepare the Integrated Planning / Scheduling contribution to the Monthly Project Report and specific reports / presentations.
- Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance / change order.
- Ensure that schedule related data from vendors, suppliers, engineering, and construction contractors of actual projects is provided as feedback into the planning and scheduling systems.
- Working closely with various program stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the schedules produced without compromising an independent view as a planner/scheduler to advise project management team.
- Candidate must be flexible and able to balance / prioritize multiple priorities.
- Track and Monitor Portfolio Schedule.
- Maintain P6 database for client.
- Maintain SharePoint for schedules and IAP (interactive Planning) documentation.
- Send site-wide communications on a weekly basis on behalf of the Projects and Maintenance teams.
- Send weekly, site-specific updates via Viva Engage (formerly Yammer).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 Years of progressively responsible positions in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) Planning & Scheduling environment.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or Equivalent in Industrial Construction (a combination of other degrees coupled with adequate experience will also be considered).
- Strong understanding of all construction disciplines.
- Strong Experience in facilitating Interactive Planning Meetings with all stakeholders to develop consensus and alignment of the team.
- Experience in the development, preparation, review, baselining of Project Schedules (Level 1 through Level 5 schedules using WBS and Activity Codes) with experiences in Critical Path Analysis.
- Experience with industrial scheduling programs such as Primavera P6 and Pertmaster.
- Demonstrates a high level of self-organization, coordination and planning.
- Must be a team player and integrate easily with others.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Good communication, facilitation, negotiation, presentation, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate contract requirements including Schedule baseline, Contingency basis, and site Environmental, Health, Safety Policies.
- Self-starter; creates solutions/alternatives; anticipates; acts on facts.
- Deals with conflict successfully, analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems.
- Ability to perform field walks and audits.
