Due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, Turner & Townsend's Cost Management division in Brisbane requires an experienced Senior Cost Manager to work across multiple sectors like Commercial building services, hospitality and High Rise buildings. Working within a friendly, professional and highly successful team and reporting to the Director and have the opportunity to progress your career.

Job Description

Due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients in our Real Estate sector we are currently recruiting a Senior Cost Manager with proven local delivery experience to join our Brisbane based team.

The ideal applicant with have a strong background in Quantity Surveying, ideally gained through the delivery of complex projects. Preferably you will have worked within a professional consultancy before, but those with a background in other areas, such as experience working for main contractors are encouraged to apply.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Senior Cost Manager you will be able to work independently managing your own deliverables, but also work well as part of a team. You will strive to promote and maintain the highest of professional standards, while supporting junior staff to grow and learn through your knowledge and experience. We are looking for someone who could oversee more junior staff, though you will be supported by our senior management team and Commercial Sector lead who you will be working closely with.

  • Leading our existing key client relationships.
  • Creating new client and consultant relationships and opportunities in the market place.
  • Growing and developing exceptional people for your team.
  • Displaying excellence in service delivery leadership.
  • Take responsibility for your own deliverables and ensure all commitments are completed.
  • Estimating and cost planning including presenting the final cost plan.

Qualifications

  • Currently living in Australia with full working rights.
  • A recognised degree qualification in Quantity Surveying (or similar).
  • MRICS accreditation or similar (preferred).
  • Relevant work experience 5 years
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and where appropriate lead a team
  • Experience of leading and successfully delivering cost management commissions in the Australian market
  • Experience working in sectors like commercial, retail & mixed use projects.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Highly motivated and driven with a passion for your profession and the difference it can make to your clients.
