Heavy Equipment Operator

Turner & Turner Contracting, LLC is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team! The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for full operations and maintenance of company equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
• Detect and fix operating problems.
• Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance.
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
• Ensure company equipment, material, and work sites are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
• Observe distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow and indicate low spots for workers to add material.
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Required Skills:

• 5 years’ experience operating heavy equipment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to read manuals and blueprints/plans.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent eye/hand/foot coordination.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Heavy equipment operation: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:
