Job Summary:
The Embroidery Operator will be responsible for operating and basic maintenance of embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered products according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of embroidery techniques, and the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor design adjustments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate embroidery machines to create custom designs on various fabrics and materials.
- Interpret design specifications and set up machines accordingly, ensuring accurate reproduction of designs.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and consistency of embroidery.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on embroidery machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Keep detailed records of production activities and inventory levels.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in embroidery or textile arts is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Embroidery Operator or similar role.
- Proficiency in operating embroidery machines such as Tajima, Brother, or Barudan.
- Knowledge of embroidery software (e.g., Wilcom, Pulse) and design interpretation.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for color and design.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on embroidery equipment.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle materials and machinery.
- Must be fluent in English. Bilingual (in Chinese) is a plus but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 35 per week
