Job Overview
In-Vehicle Security team plays a critical role in security autonomous driving systems in TuSimple. As a Product Security Architect at TuSimple, you will have the opportunity to work on various product security projects and gain highly sought after skills in the fields of automotive and get a well-rounded view of system, software and hardware security. You will help ensure the highest level of security of the TuSimple autonomous system and services offering by engaging with all stages of the product life cycle, from security product development to operation. Your goal will be to identify security and correct issues in product designs and/or implementations related to TuSimple autonomous solutions in vehicles and its ecosystem.
Opportunity, Responsibilities, & Mission
Take ownership of projects within the product security team and be able to work independently
Collaborate with product security, cloud security, and product teams during analysis/ design/ development/ testing
Develop security related solutions or systems, designs, documentations and standards
Perform security assessment, design reviews, code audits
Experience & Skills - Required
Possess a MS/PhD program with focus in Cyber security, or computer science for focus on computing and communication systems
7 years in directly related experience as a Security Engineer or Architect
Experience and communications skills required for writing, evangelizing and enforcing technical and procedural security and vulnerability management standards for the product organizations
Understanding of basic concepts of cryptographic protocols and mechanisms such as TLS, PKI, hashes, signatures, encryption
Track record as product security architect, capable of producing or reviewing detailed architecture design and documentation through independent research of internal or external technology domains with ability to dig deep with speed
Previous Experience or solid understanding of concepts or hands on experience in at least two of the following;
Track record of experience with SDLC security tooling, their integration with CI/CD and use
Software security concepts, OS security hardening
Risk management methodology, threat modeling, vulnerability management frameworks
Automotive or Autonomous driving security, TARA, IOT security, connectivity security
Experienced in deploying AWS security services across organizations or securing/ mitigating vulnerabilities in AWS deployments
Certifications: any certificates in security or cloud will be valuable
Experience & Skills - Preferred
Having more than one of the experience areas above.
Applied cryptography and cryptographic interfaces, TLS, X.509, PKCS 11, HSMs, hardware system security
Web application security, secure coding, Microservice architectures (containers and K8s) and their security
Track record of work on security across API lifecycle, AuthN/AuthZ technology and tools, and latest API security tools, good understanding of OWASP API top 10 issues and concepts
