Position Title
Executive Assistant
Job Summary
Served as the Administrator for the National Bioethics Center website and webpage, which includes the cohesive design of the website and increasing the National Bioethics Center online marketing presence.
Essential Job Duties
Prepares the Director’s on and off-campus schedule, including travel itineraries.
Performs maintenance and updating all of the electronic materials, including social media networking strategies on our Facebook and Twitter accounts,
Prepare the Director’s travel arrangements (flights, hotels, ground travel and other arrangements) and other associates as assigned by the Director.
Manages Tuskegee University and Macon County Bridge Builders Program website
Work closely with Director and Associate Director of Education with the Bioethics Honors Program and Public Health Ethics Intensive (PHEI).
Serves as Teacher Assistant in the Director’s Spheres of Ethics Class (HUB coordination, scheduling/examination construction, electronic linking with NPH students at Morehouse School of Medicine and Meharry Medical College
„Makes arrangements and organizes all documents pertaining to the Director’s daily activities, including meetings, conferences, and other agenda items
Provides background information to the Director concerning meetings, conferences, and organizations events that he will attend and prepares the appropriate material
Provides updates to the Director while he is on travel, as circumstances warrant
Manages phone calls and inquiries to the Director in his absence
-Gathers data and research topics relevant to the Director!s conförence presentations and scholarly papers -Assists staff and faculty with day-to-day request with the Director if needed
Assists the Director in completing letters, reports and other documents, as requested
Serves as recorder at the weekly staff meetings
Maintains confidence related to all oral or written materials
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
Bachelor’s degree required in an area related to, and experience in, coordination, counseling, guidance, technical writing, communication, education and training, Master’s degree preferred
Three to five years of experience in an administrative and/or supervisory level position

Superb written verbal communication, and analytical skills, excellent planning and organizational capabilities
Demonstrated ability to work with administrators, faculty, staff, students and other University constituencies
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize allocate, coordinate, and gather/analyze data for reports
Demonstrated ability to make presentations to diverse audience as requested by Director
Experience in computer systems a d in using database management, spreadsheets, and word processing tools
Knowledge of the internet, World Wide Web, and online systems
Knowledge of fiscal rules and regulations at Tuskegee University
Must be a team player
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge of the principles of bioethics, sufficient to engage in discussion with those making inquiries about the Bioethics Center
Experience in preparing and editing manuscripts and scholarly reports
Demonstrated ability to make responsible judgment
