Tuskegee University Library Circulation Manager Tuskegee , Alabama Apply Now The Library Circulation Manager will be responsible for overseeing the general circulation operations of the Library, including patron services, assistance and training for online information access and promoting a welcoming environment for all patrons.

Strong customer service skills and good judgment are necessary for this position, and other duties to be performed as required.

The Library Circulation Manager will be supervised directly by the Director of Library ServicesOversees the operation of the circulation desk to include the registration of new patrons, processing overdue notices and bills, and the processing and maintenance of course reserve itemsProvide training and supervision to members of the staff and student assistant in using Sirsi Dynix workflows and library information systemsEstablishes work schedules related to this area and makes work assignmentsProvides information and assistance to library patrons, which include the checking in / out materials, answering questions, and directing patrons as neededAssist patrons in using the online catalog, locating materials, and searching for resources Maintain quality public relations, advising patrons of library programs, policies and procedures Update records and performs general data entryMake presentations to the campus community communicating library programs and services Prepare correspondence and reportsQualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)Bachelors degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

At least three to five years experience working in a library.Supervisory experience preferred.Physical DemandsSkills and AttributesFundamental library policies.
