What are the responsibilities and job description for the Academic Tutor position at Tutoring Club?

The Job: We are seeking instructors who specialize in tutoring a) elementary students in reading/writing/math; b) higher-level science classes like biology, chemistry, and physics; and/or c) higher-level math classes like Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, and/or Calculus! Physics, Biology, and Chemistry skills are a plus as well, but not at all required!

The Tutoring Club Experience: We provide comprehensive paid training, tools to help you teach your subject(s) of choice, curriculum materials for our proprietary programs (with guaranteed results!), a flexible yet dependable schedule, and a warm, lively and enjoyable environment where you will feel like part of the team and be able to contribute.
Compensation: This is a great opportunity to earn extra income and to grow with us as we grow. Beginning pay is dependent on experience and subjects taught.
Minimum Qualifications: This is great part-time work for teachers, college students, working professionals and retired adults who want to make a difference in and have a lasting impact on a student's life! Previous teaching experience is not required but is a plus. However, previous tutoring experience, thorough content knowledge, a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university (or currently a strong student of a degree program leading to a Bachelor’s Degree), and an engaging, motivating personality are required. Candidate must live in close proximity to our center. Please be available for SOME of the following: Monday through Thursday from 1:30pm to 8:30 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

To create a safe work environment, we are limiting center capacity, requiring masks / face coverings for all persons inside, and have plexiglass dividers to separate every individual at a table.
