TVH is seeking aGlobal Ecommerce Expert to serve as the business owner of the search engine(s) on our different e-commerce platforms. By working closely together with stakeholders within IT, data and product, the global product search expert guarantees the most relevant search results and browsing experience for every search term. The objective is to create a state-of-the-art search experience that drives sales and aligns with our overall Global Ecommerce strategy.
You will also serve as the project lead for the global project(s) related to search from a business perspective.

Core Functions
Business owner for the search engine(s) on our various commerce platforms.
- Translate search needs – both internally and externally - into functional search requirements. Customer input & feedback is the main driver for these requirements.
- Align internal stakeholders (sales, product management, pricing, IT, AI etc.) in order to deliver a search experience that drives sales and is consistent with the overall strategy and ensure delivery of business value.
- Translate overall strategy into concrete (and tactical) projects and initiatives.
- Define a product roadmap for the search engine(s) on our e-commerce platforms.
Continuous improvement of the search engine(s) on our various ecommerce platforms.
- Define areas of improvement based on qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- Prioritize possible search improvements and set-up roadmaps to execute them.
- Ensure delivery and continuously improve the search experience for our customers.
Set KPI’s, targets and follow up on commercial results.
- Define & establish key performance indicators & targets, both technically and commercially.
- Set up tracking in order to monitor search behavior.
- Translate tracking data into relevant customer insights.
- Gather both behavioral, technical and commercial results.
- Translate results in tangible areas of improvement.
Lead and drive projects (including change) to execute the omnichannel ecommerce search strategy in order to improve customer experience and optimize sales. Lead cross departmental & global projects in order to contribute to the e-commerce domain. In doing so, change management will be a part of the job.
Ecommerce Project management
- Lead e-commerce search related projects on a global level in order to improve our e-commerce platforms and services.
- Define the scope, concept, requirements, timing and resources of the project and compile the project team.
- Integrate the project/capability within the TVH operations and ensure continuous improvement.
- Delivering the projected project roadmap in line with the overall strategy.
- Organizing project steering meetings.
- Performing risk assessments and define/anticipate potential roadblocks in order deliver on scope, timing and budget.
- To deliver the necessary outcomes predefined for the project.
- To acquire, document and share knowledge with the PMO/CMO.
Ecommerce Change Management
- To guarantee support by stakeholders by involving them in the project
- To improve adoption rate by monitoring relevant KPIs and proposing new initiatives
Align with IT development teams to keep business objectives and IT developments aligned.
- Be the SPOC towards relevant PO’s (e-com, data, sales, …) to define requirements for your domain
- Attend IT development update meetings
- Proactively look out for road blocks or factors that could delay projects or impact e-commerce performance.
- Understand & communicate clearly on a technical and commercial level with the stakeholders involved.
Stay well informed about the evolutions within the E-commerce & Search domain, keeping knowledge up-to-date and credibility strengthened by offering a service that is continuously based on updated knowledge.
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience in search technologies like Solr or Elastic search
- Experience with evaluating existing configuration parameters, indexing, search and query performance tuning, security and administration.
- Basic knowledge of AI
- Hands-on experience with IT development projects (preferably e-commerce)
- Desired education level: Master degree or equivalent by experience
