About the jobWe are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our Revenue & CoGS Accounting team. This will be a highly visible role across the Controllership, FP&A, and Product groups helping to bridge the forecast to actual results and ensuring gross margin is optimized. You'll partner with FP&A and Product stakeholder on the Revenue and CoGS forecasts, support Accounting in product segmentation, model the financial impacts of methodology changes, and recommend gross margin optimization initiatives. Additionally, you'll collaborate across the team to help automate data flows into workpapers, implement operational improvements, and complete other ad hoc projects.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you'll:
- Be responsible for understanding the core drivers of gross margin at the product level to enable and support accounting accuracy and completeness. Deep dive into metrics and data to deliver actionable analyses.
- Build, support, and maintain system integrated workpapers to automate reconciliations, month over month accrual flushes, and predictive and other ad-hoc models to identify areas requiring further accounting analysis.
- Have strong intellectual curiosity to partner with teams throughout the business to understand the available data and existing models that can be used. Help operationalize and support implementation of various processes across the business.
- Partner closely with our FP&A team members to understand their forecast inputs to ensure alignment

Required:
- 5 years in operational FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, PE or investment banking at either a high-growth technology startup or well-established company.
- Excels at juggling multiple priorities, is eager to make an impact on the business, and motivated and able to collaborate across cross-functional teams to address complex problems.
- Driven curiosity about understanding key drivers of a multi-faceted business.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills - numbers are key, but a business is built with people. Cross-functional relationships and effective communication to non-financial audiences are critical to make an impact
- Elite spreadsheet skills - your models are efficient, scalable, and intuitive. You can handle complexity but strive for simplicity, and are able to build for all audiences. Standard processes are second nature.
- Solution-oriented - able to cut through the noise to identify the core components of a problem, and then drive toward an outcome that optimizes for business impact.
This role will be remote, and based in the US.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado: $90,320 - $112,900.
- Based in New York, Washington State or California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area): $95,680 - $119,600.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $106,240 - $132,800.
- This role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan and the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
