Lineman

Twin Lakes is seeking multiple highly motivated, dependable, and safety-focused individuals to join our team as a Lineman Apprentice.

The successful candidates will assist in the placement and removal of aerial and buried telecommunications facilities and ensure our industry leading fiber network is continuously maintained and delivers reliable service to our valued customers.

Functions and Abilities of the Position :

• Follows industry and Company standards for installation and maintenance of critical fiber facilities.
• Assists Linemen with fiber splicing, setting up splice enclosures, setting poles, pedestals, and operating of equipment needed to accomplish these tasks.
• Assists with the removal of Outside Plant facilities and the clearing of right-of-way as needed to maintain the fiber network.
• Prepares equipment and materials for aerial and buried installation.
• Assists Linemen in placement of aerial and buried cable on poles and underground.
• Places buried wire / cable by operating trenching equipment.
• Must be able to work from aerial bucket truck and climbs poles as necessary to complete assignments.
• Must be able to operate electrical and gas-powered equipment.
• Strict adherence to safety standards in all aspects

Requirements

• Must obtain and maintain a valid, unrestricted interstate Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a minimum of a Class A license with Restriction 57.
• Must be able to report to various locations, including Gainesboro, Jamestown, Livingston, or other Twin Lakes service areas within the Upper Cumberland region depending on work assignments.
