Job Title: Packaging Lead
Pay Range: $19.00 per hour
Type: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Location: 4715 Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80216
Position Objective
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual for the role of Packaging Lead in our cannabis cultivation facility. The Packaging Lead will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the packaging process, including operating cannabis equipment decontamination machines, ensuring accurate weight and recording, proper packaging and labeling, inventory management, quality control, and compliance with industry regulations. The Packaging Lead will work closely with the Post-Harvest Manager and supervise a team of Packaging Associates to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
Main Functions
Packaging:
- Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and sealing of cannabis products, following company guidelines and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records for all packaging activities, adhering to legal requirements and company policies.
- Collaborate with the Post-Harvest Manager to implement and maintain quality control standards, ensuring consistent product quality and compliance.
- Operate and maintain cannabis equipment decontamination machines to ensure equipment cleanliness and product safety.
- Oversee the inventory of packaging materials, coordinate restocking, and manage supplies to support continuous production.
Plant Processing:
- Participate in various stages of plant processing, including harvesting, cutting plants down, weighing plants, packaging bulk products, dry trimming plants, pulling fan leaves, loading racks with product, and operating sorting and trimming machines.
Additional Functions:
- Adhering to all safety and compliance protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in workstations
- Contribute to regular cleaning and maintenance efforts
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment
