Originally driven by a need to find reliable, safe childcare, TX Caring For You was created to provide elite babysitting and nanny service to families in Houston, Texas. Guided by our mission and values, TX Caring For You babysitters are expected to:
- Ensure a safe environment for the children
- Play, interact, and communicate with the children at an appropriate level to encourage intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development
- Read to/with the child(ren)
- Ensure proper child hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring children are physically comfortable
- Oversee extracurricular practice and/or homework as directed by the parents
- Accompany the child(ren) to activities outside the home as approved by the parents
- Meet the child(ren) at the school bus after school, wait for them at home after school, or pick them up at school
- Prepare meals and snacks for children at appropriate times with proper nourishment
- Reinforce appropriate discipline for the children.
- Ensure no television, video, or screen time unless approved by the parents
- Assist with light housekeeping, such as picking up toys and cleaning up after children, loading the dishwasher, and light meal preps
- Other duties as assigned by employer and family
- Report to the parents as needed regarding the children’s activities, dietary intake, behaviour, progress, concerns
In addition to an ability to complete these essential duties, the ideal candidate will also bring to TX Caring For You:
- 5 years of experience in childcare
- CPR/First Aid Certification or a willingness to attain
- 18 years or older
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Early Childhood Diploma/Certificate
- Legal entitlement to work in US
- 3 stunning references
