What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner, Pain Management position at TX SPINE AND JOINT?
Busy interventional pain management clinic looking for an energetic Nurse Practitioner to join our practice.
- Assess patient’s health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
- Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, MRI, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Educates patients regarding their disease, treatments, related drug and treatment side effects.
- Assists with record keeping, completes appropriate patient medical chart documentation in a timely manner.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements
- License/Credentials: NP.; licensed and in good standing with Texas Medical Board and Nurse Practitioner board.
- eClinicalWorks experience required
- Proven work experience as a nurse practitioner
- 2 years minimum experience in pain management required
- Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
- Caring and compassionate
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, flexible, organized, and function well under pressure
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $115,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
