We are a talented team of programmers, designers and project managers who are dedicated to improving the lives of Indiana citizens through the web and mobile applications that we build on behalf of our government partner in Indiana. We are passionately leading a new era of digital public service, using technology to bring government to the people of Indiana in meaningful and convenient ways. NIC Indiana is currently seeking to hire for a Web Developer to assist in the successful implementation of web-based applications and services for state and local government partners.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Indiana state government agencies to build innovative solutions for the citizens and employees of the state of Indiana
• Develop web applications and other infrastructure projects
• Work collaboratively on a team with other developers, designers, business analysts and quality assurance staff

General Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of professional application development experience
• Self-starter with a passion for innovative problem-solving
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly with an incessant desire for self-improvement
• Shows passion and crafts their work with pride
• Strong commitment to quality in all aspects of their role
• Team player that can effectively communicate with other developers of all skill levels
• Desire to learn new techniques to improve user experience and site performance
• Strong communication skills and effectively documents ones work
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet aggressive deadlines

Necessary Skills:

• .NET development experience preferably in C#
• Experience using design patterns to write reusable and maintainable code
• SQL Server development experience
• Solid understanding of source control best practices with experience using Git

Bonus points for:

• Experience with ServiceStack, ORMLite, and .NET Core
• Experience developing RESTful APIs for JavaScript front-end frameworks
• Agile project experience
• Previous experience working with quality assurance teams
