Accountabilities:

Conduct regular patrols of the property premises to monitor for signs of vagrancy, loitering, or unauthorized individuals.

Engage in courteous and respectful interactions with residents, visitors, and guests while enforcing property rules and regulations.

Identify and report any suspicious activities, security breaches, or safety hazards to property management promptly.

Collaborate with property management and local law enforcement agencies as needed to address security concerns and maintain a safe environment.

Respond promptly to resident inquiries, concerns, or emergencies, providing assistance and support when necessary.

Remove unauthorized visitors or trespassers from the premises in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Maintain accurate records of observations, incidents, and communications related to property security and safety.

Assist with the implementation and enforcement of property policies and procedures to enhance security measures and prevent unauthorized access.

Provide support during property events, emergencies, or special situations to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and property staff.

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as a bulletproof vest.

Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance knowledge and skills related to property security and safety protocols.

Physical requirements- able to lift up to 50 lb. occasionally.
Education, Training and Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security management or related field is preferred.

Experience in security, law enforcement, or property management with a strong understanding of security protocols and procedures.

Must possess a valid security license from the state of South Dakota or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing employment.

Excellent observational skills with the ability to detect and respond to potential security threats effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact professionally with diverse individuals in various situations.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Physical fitness and stamina to perform regular patrols and respond promptly to emergencies or security incidents.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to ensure property security and safety.

A valid Driver's License is required to complete the essential functions of the position (traveling to different properties)
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; reach with hands and arms and stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and inclement weather.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
