What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodial position position at U-32?
WCUUSD is seeking to hire an additional custodial staff member for U-32 Middle & High School for a Full-time,1.0 fte position.
Work hours 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Position is available for motivated individuals with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic. Must be able to perform physically demanding work including some heavy lifting, work as part of a team, have high standards of performance and professional and courteous manner. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: cleaning of classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, kitchen facility, furniture, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, etc. Summer work includes painting, moving furniture, floor waxing.
Preferred characteristics include:
Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role preferred;
Demonstration of a strong work ethic;
Excellent people skills;
Positive attitude and communication skills;
Knowledge of use of cleaning equipment and appliances;
Attention to detail and conscientiousness;
Physical capacity to do the required duties.
