This position is within the Office of the Executive Secretariat (ES), at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Qualifications:
Specialized Experience:
GS-11: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the
GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. One year of specialized experience refers to full-time work; we consider a part-time job on a prorated basis. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position includes: (a) Scheduling meetings using an automated/electronic calendar b) Participating in the identification and development of data required for use in the management and direction of programs; c) Preparing guidance documents for work plans; d) Researching program methods and establishing procedures for program requirements.
OR
Education: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities, to do the work of the position,
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
GS-12: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the

Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position includes: (a) Analyzing and evaluating (on a quantitative or qualitative basis) the effectiveness of line program operations in meeting established goals and objectives; b) Designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for financial management tracking updates; c) Scheduling meetings using an automated/electronic calendar.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience relevant to the position's duties to be filled, including volunteer experience.
CTAP/ICTAP candidates will be referred to the selecting official if they are found well qualified.
