In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes demonstrated experience serving as a secretary in a department level or higher-level position; preparing administrative documents timely and accurately using automation devices; establishing standard operating procedures for administrative functions; reviewing correspondence prepared by others for accuracy; managing supervisor's calendar; and coordinating travel plans using an automated travel system.
Specialized Experience GS-06: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes demonstrated experience scheduling appointments and coordinating telecommunications for an office staff; preparing a variety of documents and correspondence using multiple types of software applications such as word processing or excel; coordinating travel plans using an automated travel system; and receiving/screening visitors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
Salary : $47,789 - $62,122
