About the Position: Manages the creation, plans, design, and development of the distribution methodology for recruiters within the United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC). Serves as advisor to the Commander in broad policy matters relating to recruiting market research and analysis.
Two available positions in For Knox, KY. Incumbents will service the US Army Recruiting Command's Medical Recruiting Brigade or the US Army Recruiting Command 3rd Brigade Headquarters (HQS).

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Operations Research Analyst:
Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in operations research; or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) conducting target market research to identify trends; (2) utilizing mathematical and/or statistical techniques to participate in complex studies; (3) preparing detailed analysis of statistical data obtained; (4) utilizing an automated system to perform external and internal research; and (5) presenting study findings to senior leadership. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Science, or Management Science
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
