Job Description
Role Description:
- Senior IT and finance savvy leader to help drive strategic and tactical decisions around Cloud cost management and optimization strategies
- Work with senior IT leaders and on-the-ground engineers to evaluate architectural and associated economic implications of application operations
- Work with senior business leaders to understand cost of IT operations balanced against business metrics
- Work with senior business and IT leaders to inform and influence application placement and investment decisions based on ownership costs
- Work with Risk teams to incorporate cloud/on-prem economics into the context of application risk profile
- Bring cost of ownership and strategic value to IT and business leaders as part of broader working committees focused on cost and technology asset strategies
- Help drive cultural adoption of cloud first and fiscally accountable technology organization
- Drive the adoption of cloud financial transparency tools across IT organizations and engineers ( Showback and Chargeback )
- Develop and apply a comprehensive FinOps skill set steeped in Public Cloud best practices, FinOps methodologies, and fiscally responsible engineering practices
Preferred Skills:
- Public cloud financial operations experiences ( Azure or AWS preferred)
- Strong product management, design, and development skills
- Excellent management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong change management skills focus on leading transformational change
- Experience in, or exposure to, application development, design, and release capabilities, UX constructs, and technology
- Exposure to or direct experience with enterprise IT environments and software development

Portfolio Responsibilities
- Identify cost optimization opportunities across TOS applications and infrastructure capabilities
- Develop and build prioritization business cases around initiatives to identify pursuit opportunities
- Collaborate and partner with TOS application and infrastructure owners to prioritize and execute optimization initiatives
- Establish a working backlog of opportunities for pursuit
- Develop a hands-on confidence and skill set working in native and 3rd party cloud cost management tools
