What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Roaming Analyst position at U.S. Cellular?
The Sr. Roaming Analyst assists in maintaining a portfolio of existing roaming agreements to expand and improve UScellular's domestic and international roaming customer experience. This role will support the expansion of partnerships that cover domestic as well as international footprints and create opportunity for incremental inbound roaming revenue. This role identifies opportunities to execute process improvements thereby contributing to more efficient ways to meet the demands of the business. The role consistently must be future-focused and ensure UScellular is ready for the next technology change to provide a global footprint in a highly competitive environment with geographic challenges. This role must consider all of the different segments of business and be able to deliver a solution to achieve the goals and objectives of the overall organization.
- Assist the team with complex and highly visible enterprise-wide projects and serves as Intercarrier Business resource responsible for tracking roaming deliverables while holding the team accountable for completing roaming tasks in support of Enterprise Project Management programs as well as engineering functional projects.
- Automate, streamline and assist with processes such as managing roaming agreements, performing TADIG validations, issuing Testing CompletionCertificates (TCC) and Commercial Launch Letters (CLL).
- Develop and maintain roaming dashboard that shows inbound and outbound traffic volumes as well as corresponding charges with the ability to view details by roaming partner, by technology, and by PLMN for a specific timeframe.
- Primary owner of all Ariba administration for roaming agreements, including both direct roaming contracts as well as TNS Hub agreements.
- Create Tier One Roaming Agreement reference that summarizes contractual terms including permanent roaming, in-market roaming, reselling and non-renewal provisions.
- Lead the effort to terminate all CDMA roaming agreements with guidance from Sidley attorney and Intercarrier Business leadership.
- Build and cultivate strong relationships with internal and external partnerships.
- Facilitate the alignment of resources, completing research, developing new thinking/approaches to integrate roaming services with all technology types.
- Work in partnership with B&G team to create, document and implement an end-to-end process that enables the systematic submission, management, tracking and reporting of roaming agreement exception requests for business customers.
- Collaborate with B&G team to track our business customers' roaming activity to ensure we are abiding by the guidelines and requirements defined in our roaming agreements.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis to evaluate possible outcomes of various strategic and tactical decisions.
- Provide a strategic perspective on issues and solutions for technical challenging analytics, requiring research or creation of new approaches.
- Remain current on industry trends and changes in roaming that impact our ability to provide needed financial and technical expertise to our business partners.
- Expedite the resolution of escalated roaming issues.
- Assist team with the implementation, coordination and deployment of internal and external network changes which impact roaming.
- Update the Roaming Operations and Strategic Roaming shared drives to ensure files are properly stored, organized and/or archived.

Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline preferred.
- Minimum three years of progressively responsible and relevant work experience in Project Management, Roaming, Relationship Management and/or Financial Analysis.
- Strong business knowledge of the wireless industry as well as wireless operations experience in the roaming area.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including experience in presenting to senior
leadership and ability to communicate with all levels of management and associates. - Excellent organization and project management skills.
- Strong project planning and management skills along with the ability to breakdown complex problems into manageable tasks.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams while supporting multiple projects simultaneously under strict timelines.
- Proven ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to review current processes and improve for efficiencies.
- Strong strategic and analytic thinking skills.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.

- Strong PC literacy skills in a Windows environment with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
- Understanding of UScellular operations and Dynamic Organization.
- Extensive knowledge of wireless technologies.
