This role is a remote position available in a major metropolitan area in California. Preferred location includes Sacramento.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research and assess facility operations for regulatory applicability
- Complete regulatory permit applications based on the area of expertise (Air, Water, Waste)
- Prepare compliance reports and documentation
- Develop operational plans such as Stormwater Pollution Prevention, SPCC, and Contingency Plans
- Build expertise in specific environmental compliance disciplines
- Provide on-site visits to clients for inspections, compliance support, and regulatory training
- Collaborate with other U.S. Compliance practitioners to execute environmental deadlines and projects
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or related science discipline
- Minimum of two years’ work experience with an industrial, consulting, or regulatory agency with the Ideal candidate having 3-5 years of experience in environmental compliance
- Work with ISO 14001 regulations and support programs for manufacturing facilities
- Certified as an ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
- Experience with ISO 14001 auditing and program support for industrial facilities
- Must be within 1 hour of an international airport
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory authorities and applicable environmental regulations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Dynamics
- Excellent verbal and written communication, comfortable hosting presentations, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills to support multiple activities on an ongoing basis by the given deadline
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with a diverse workload
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible and willing to support diverse projects as needed
- Ability to travel to client sites for routine visits regionally and/or nationally (approx. 20% of the time)
