Duties
Interprets planning and NEPA laws, regulations, policies and guidance for a field office's specific land and resource management programs, projects, and support activities and the resolution of protests and appeals.
Analyzes and provides guidance for field office planning and environmental processes, documents and supporting records for compliance with BLM planning and NEPA procedural requirements.
Serves as technical liaison between the field office and other entities, such as the state office, other BLM offices, the Washington Office, the Solicitor's Office, other Federal, state and local government agencies and Indian Tribal Governments.
Coordinates and provides planning and NEPA program oversight to interdisciplinary teams in the implementation of land use plans, implementation level plans, and project specific plans.
Develops and conducts field office training programs for all aspects of BLM's planning system and NEPA processes.
