Chief Engineer - 099 - Corporate - CHEN01

U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management service, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Chief Engineer for its Washington DC location. The Chief Engineer will be hands-on and responsible for day-to-day operations of the physical facilities. This includes all building and utility infrastructure as well as direct supervision of all maintenance staff. In addition to carrying out maintenance functions. Responsibilities will include supervisory, engineering, and administrative work in the management of maintenance and repair operations at a large, complex facility.

Duties include:

1. Support workforce in the general maintenance responsibilities ensuring that safety requirements are met at all times.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in electrical/mechanical/plumbing systems (e.g. HVAC, boilers, fire systems, refrigeration systems, lighting, appliances & other building equipment).
3. Responsible for ensuring the maintenance department operates efficiently.
4. Plans for outside contracted maintenance projects and activities; selects contractors appropriate to the job required; supervises the work of contract personnel attending to assigned projects
5. Prepares purchase requisitions and requests for quotations to support maintenance projects and activities.
6. Maintains necessary maintenance records within Web-Based CMMS system.
7. Ensuring department expenditures meet budget requirements. Assisting with the capital budget process.
8. Communicates with the client and/or tenants served by USF to gain their understanding, and learn their expectations to help improve our quality of service.

Qualifications

1. Must have HS diploma
2. Must be a Licensed Engineer
3. Must have a universal CFC certification
4. Critical systems equipment operations and maintenance
5. Customer, partner, and vendor relationship management
6. Facilities, utilities, and service delivery management
7. Must possess 5 years of experience supporting all aspects of integrated facility operations.
8. Must be qualified and knowledgeable in operation & installation of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry, and mechanical equipment
9. Must have familiarity with operation of building auxiliary systems. (i.e. fire-life safety, standby emergency generators)
10. Team player with a strong work ethic.
11. Must have a history of safe work practices and training.
12. Must possess basic computer skills
13. Must be able to communicate effectively with Management, our customers, contractors and co-workers.
14. Must have a willingness to learn new skills, assist and train co-workers.
15. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
16. Valid Driver's license
