This position is located at United States MINT in Washington, D.C. in the Information Technology Department. As a Business Analyst, you will be coordinating with customers, mapping and developing IT business processes, developing overall functional and systems requirements and specifications, and providing recommendations on issue resolution and process, and assisting with workflow improvements.
Qualifications:
You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.For the GS-09 you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal Service. One year of specialized experience refers to full time work; part time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience for this position includes:
-Experience in the area of analyzing, evaluating, and documenting new system requirements AND
-Experience documenting business processes and workflow diagrams AND
-Experience preparing various written documents and reports
OR
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
You may substitute education for experience as follows: Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work OR an LL.B. or J.D., in a field related to this position.

For the GS-07 you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal Service. - Experience assisting with the drafting of various written documents and reports OR
- Experience assisting with business processes and workflow diagrams
OR
4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-09 you must have been at the GS-07level for 52 weeks.
For the GS-07 you must have been at the GS-05level for 52 weeks.
Responsibilities:
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-09. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.- Assists with complex business and industry program management, regulatory, and associated functions that address critical agency priorities and objectives.
- Assists with development and implementation of significant new program strategies; and analysis of key business and industry policy questions and advises on agency decisions, policy recommendations and positions.
- Assists customers and management with planning and managing the delivery of major, high-priority products and services which are central to agency objectives.
- Assists with exercising configuration management, quality control, and IT governance policies on all IT-based efforts.
- Serves as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), which includes actively participating in the development of business alliances, acquisitions, and divestitures; source selection, vendor negotiation, tracking, measuring, and reporting contractor performance; and so on.
