ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
US Nameplate Company seeks 1st and 2nd shift Digital Printers in our temperature controlled environment with a FOUR day work schedule.
Digital Printers are responsible for setup and operation of machines to meet customer specifications, achieve superior quality and performance standards, and comply with all company and OSHA safety policies and practices.
The digital print process includes:
- Reviewing and understanding work orders and blueprints.
- Locating and pulling the correct material(s).
- Verifying and manipulating art files using various printer RIPs.
- Performing periodic inspections to ensure quality and color are maintained.
- Concurrently operating multiple printers to ensure minimal idle time between jobs.
- Verifying proper quantities have been printed before closing your operation(s).
- Periodically delivering orders to the next step of the workflow.
- Printing with repeatable results, anticipating, recognizing, and troubleshooting issues.
- Ability to work well under pressure to output high volume as well as quality work.
- Keeping your workspace(s) clean and organized.
- Returning unused materials and supplies to their correct location(s).
- Preventive maintenance.
- Assisting other printers.
- Color matching.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 18 years of age with valid driver's license & reliable transportation.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Highly Proficient basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing).
- Proficient with Windows and Mac computers.
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing setting desired but willing to train right people.
- Ability to read and understand dimensional blueprints preferred.
- Micrometer/Caliper measuring tool experience preferred.
- Proven track record of attendance and reliability.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Above average color vision.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to work with ink and chemicals every day.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. as an individual, and team-lift 80 lbs.
