JOB PURPOSE:

To perform general clean-up and general manual labor. To transport materials, supplies, and equipment through the plant. To fill vacancies in other job classifications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Shovels, sweeps, cleans up grounds, loads and unloads trucks and railroad cars, cleans sand spillage with water hose, broom and shovel.
• Cuts weeds and trees and disposes of debris.
• Washes floors, windows, etc.
• Cleans, inspects, refuels, lubricates and makes operating repairs to mobile equipment and other machinery.
• Fills bulk bags with whole grain or ground sand.
• Shrink-wraps pallets as required
• Reports the following to the supervisor immediately:
  • Any equipment damage
  • Any variation in operating limits that cannot be brought within acceptable limits  using standard procedures
  • Any breakdowns
  • Any unsafe working condition
  • Any accident or injury on company property
  • Any condition or event which  prevents completion of the job in a timely manner
• Performs housekeeping and painting in the following areas:
  • Immediate work area
  • Other areas designated by the supervisor
• Completes required reports and turns them in at designated times and places.
• Communicates with supervisors and co-workers on all shifts to insure continuity of operations.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• High School diploma is required
