The U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council is the premier business organization dedicated to advancing bilateral commercial relations. By leveraging its extensive networks in the U.S. and in the region, the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council provides unparalleled access to senior decision makers in business and government with the aim of deepening bilateral trade and investment.

The U.S.–U.A.E. Business Council is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated professional to manage its media output and engagement. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and organizational skills and be a team player. The Business Council is based in Washington, D.C. and the successful candidate would be expected to work in the office, with an anticipated start date of January 3rd 2022.

Responsibilities

· Augment the Business Council’s presence in traditional media through sustained yet tailored engagement with U.A.E., U.S., and international press

· Grow the Business Council’s social media audience and impact, with a particular focus on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn

· Ensure the Business Council’s website is the go-to place for information about the bilateral commercial and trade relationship

· Oversee and contribute to the production of a daily media digest about key news in the U.S. and U.A.E. relationship

· Prepare press releases and “Council Updates” about the Business Council’s events and activities

· Spearhead the production of reports, white papers, and other written materials, working in conjunction with Business Council staff and think tank partners

· Draft speeches and talking points for Business Council leadership

· Manage a pipeline of member prospects, and develop and execute a strategic plan to generate new member leads

· Design aesthetically pleasing invitations and programs for Business Council events

· Serve as a focal point for all external inquiries of the Business Council, including via the website and press releases

· Work as a team player to support other staff in fulfilling the organizational mission

Required Skills

· Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)

· Responsive and professional attitude

· Ability to multitask, plan ahead, and deliver on strict deadlines in a fast-paced work environment

· Exceptional attention to detail

· Ability to think and act proactively

· Ease managing social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn

· Comfort creating graphics using Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign)

· Familiarity or ability to quickly learn how to use WordPress website

Required Experience

· 5 years professional experience, including demonstrated success managing national and social media

· Experience or familiarity with the Middle East and the Gulf region

Required Education

· Bachelor's Degree required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $1.00 per year
