POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Manager will oversee warehouse and operational functions for our new facility, to include logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
Ensures workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and product.
Manages Warehouse operations in accordance with established procedures and policies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the warehouse as required.
- Oversees warehouse processes to include inventory management, transportation, and personnel
- Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication. Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of changes in policies and procedures.
Continually enforces productivity standards.
- Assigns and coordinates personnel, scheduling to ensure workload is done efficiently. Keeps shift properly staffed and plans for high seasons
- Provides measurable feedback to assigned personnel and suggestions for improved performance. Partners with Human Resources on employee development plans as needed.
- Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
- Proactively manages the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Supports loss prevention efforts by ensuring security equipment is maintained and facilities and secure.
- Assists with process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in warehouse moves and special projects, as needed.
- Oversees the warehouse operational expenses to meet financial goals and expense policies.
- Motivates, organizes and encourages teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
- Oversees the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
- Promotes goodwill and a positive image of the Company.

Physical Demands and Work Environment :
Physical demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls;
reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and / or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds.
Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Protective equipment required : steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt , SRL (self-retracting lifeline).
All equipment is provided by U.S. AutoForce except for steel / composite toe boots.
Work environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants prevalent.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree in business or 2 years warehouse / operations experience
- Knowledgeable in material handling and inventory documentation
- Math, accounting and business skills
- Effective communicator to a wide range of people at all levels of the organization
- Ability maintain customer and supplier relationships, and project a positive image.
- Solid product and customer service knowledge
- Knowledge in applicable computer software, Microsoft Office applications : Word and Excel
- Problem solving skills
- Willing to travel as required
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
