Dedicated Load Planner

Monday- Friday: 6:00AM - 3:00PM
Salary Range: $50k-57k, based on experience

What You’ll Do:
Assigns customer freight loads from Dedicated Accounts to drivers based on driver availability, HOS, and driver schedules.
- Match freight loads with the optimal driver based on review of available loads, available drivers, and customer needs. Ensure drivers on account are receiving equal amounts of driving time.
- Prioritize loads by time schedule and driver availability. Review list of drivers available to accept each load for proximity to pick up location and available hours under DOT regulations.
- Unassign/reassign loads and locate equipment to prevent service failure or minimize service failure impact.
- Assist with scheduling back hauls and salvage pickups based on customer needs.
- Ensure all customer needs are met when assigning freight from distribution centers to customer locations.
- May reassign driver schedules based on customer needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
Education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience
- Minimum of 2-5 years’ applicable Operations experience required in Customer Service, Fleet Management, or Load Planning within the transportation industry.
- AS-400, XPM, and Microsoft Outlook Experience required.
- Previous experience working in a deadline driven environment preferred.
Skills/Certifications
- Knowledge of DOT hours of service and how they apply to a driver.
- Ability to be a self-starter.
- Ability to work in stressful situations.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements – Normal office settings.
