In collaboration with the President/Vice President of UAHSF, leads efforts in the development and implementation of a streamlined physician practice strategy that balances workforce needs and aligns with the UAB Medicine strategic plan.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Facilitates the development of professional service agreements for physicians at partner and non-partner facilities, including business modeling, forecasting, benchmarking.
2. Administers the Community Practice Department within UAHSF to streatmline all aspects of relationships between external entities and clinical departments.
3. Supports value-based care initiatives including alignment of clinical practices with Health System metrics.
4. Partners with various institutional leaders to create a competitive and sustainable environment to attract and retain the workforce through data and analytics support, including salary and productivity benchmarking, as well as oversight of the physician compensation plan process.
5. Fosters relationships with partner facilities, collaborating on operational efficiencies .
6. Liaises with physicians, department leadership, and clinical operations.
7. Leads efforts to streamline physician recruitment approval and coordination process.
8. Coordinates alignment between strategy and departmental plans to ensure optimal use of resources.
9. Develops a comprehensive, coordinated, and consistent physician onboarding process.
10. Oversees the formal orientation of clinical department chairs.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field and ten (10) years related experience required. Relevant Master's degree preferred. Academic medical center experience preferred. Strong metrics and analytics experience required. Work experience may NOT substituted for education requirement.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Approximately one (1) to three (3) direct reports
