The Assistant Director (AD) works under the supervision of the IDHI teleSANE Director of Operations. Provides high-level assistance, administrative support and is responsible for coordinating with the Program Director in the assessment, development, planning and implementation for telehealth program activity. Demonstrates high-level organizational skills and ability to adapt well to change and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Provides leadership at multiple levels internal and external to promote evidence based care to sexual assault victims statewide with responsibility for policy, program development and evaluation. The UAMS IDHI teleSANE Program provides on-call virtual consults by sexual assault nurse examiners to hospitals that do not otherwise have access to SANE certified nurses. Responsibilities include oversite of on-going clinical training and quality improvement to all hospital emergency department nurses and physicians regarding patient centered care and support for community outreach and advocacy regarding sexual assault resources.

Salary offered commensurate with experience.
- Program responsibilities include on-going training and evaluation to all hospital emergency department nurses and physicians regarding patient centered care and support for community outreach and education regarding sexual assault resources.
- Assists in leading the SANE Program in goal setting related to program initiatives, assessing program deficiencies and developing corrective support activities, such as the development of clinical education and training for hospitals related to evidence collection and care for victims of sexual assault and directing others to implement performance improvement initiatives identified through a robust QA program.
- Oversees and supports all key personnel in carrying out the mission of IDHI SANE Program and conducts annual needs assessments with staff.
- Oversees the multidisciplinary work group and act as key liaison for all program efforts.
- Collaborates with program evaluators and provides necessary information to track progress, explore areas for improvement and address barriers in reaching goals.
- Oversees the development of a patient mobile app, on-line educational modules and the development of materials for the program outreach campaign.
- Demonstrates effective analytical abilities to identify program improvement needs that require intervention and/or revision.
- Maintains awareness of program status and potential problems.
- Provides reports to appropriate personnel, analyzes and identifies critical factors of services to facilitate enhancement of the quality of program offered.
- Demonstrates cost conscious awareness by comparing and analyzing expenditures to ensure effective utilization of resources within budgetary restraints and plans measurable program related goals.
- Participates in formal development of Telehealth, negotiating with subspecialty services to assess for capital equipment and budgets to perform such services on a statewide level.
- Oversees, interprets, and implements policies, guidelines, protocols, curriculum related to the projects assigned.
- Oversees and provides leadership and mentoring to staff with ongoing projects, program requirements and professional development assuring program objectives and strategic plans are being met.
- Develops curriculum and performs training and demonstrates knowledge of telehealth network, connectivity, equipment and peripherals in multiple environments and subspecialties.
- Must be able to identify the various telehealth users and perform appropriate and specific training to those users (i.e. administrator, nurse or physician).
- Coordinates and oversees orientation process.
- Ensures new training initiatives meet required objectives and are delivered in a manner which promotes learning and understanding.
- Provides clinical expertise in the area of program evaluation/research, development of abstracts and poster presentations and serves a reviewer of manuscripts and other documents describing program outcomes based on analytics.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in a health related field; marketing/communications education, digital health/technology or social sciences.
- Five (5) years in a supervisory role and program development experience or related special project development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of experience with training of ED nurses and staff on the care of sexual assault victims, evidence collection and community advocacy for victims.
