  • UniFi Talk:  A fully featured, affordable, subscription-based Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone solution designed for small and medium-sized businesses.
  • UniFi Access: A state-of-the-art access control system that supports conventional electric bolts/strikes, magnetic locks, and 12V access accessories such as motion sensors, push buttons, and alarms. Allows you to easily manage users, visitors, schedules, and access policies.
  • UID: A simple but comprehensive administrative platform for larger organizations that allows you to manage employee roles, network permissions, door access, workflows, hierarchies, support tickets, and other daily productivity tasks. User access is tied to individual single sign-on accounts to centralize and streamline personnel management.

 

Role Summary

We are looking for a self-starter with a passion for technology to drive our goal of improving user experience and simplifying IT. We will provide all necessary resources including, but not limited to, lab equipment, technical training, analytics data, communication with development teams, and channels to speak with customers.

Description

  • Create and manage a new QA lab focusing on the UniFi product lines 
  • Perform product and feature audits to create a more intuitive user experience
  • Leverage customer analytics data to identify UI/UX improvements (support tickets, social media topics, feedback responses, etc.)
  • Effectively prioritize issues based on how impactful they will be to brand narrative
  • Assist with writing and maintaining of customer-facing documentation
  • Interfacing with UID customers to serve as an advocacy manager: speaking with prospective customers, coordinating with our network engineers to provide support, and seeking leverageable improvements for the product with a goal of meeting industry needs and reducing future support volumes


Requirements

  • A passion for technology and user experience
  • Basic knowledge of networking (what is a router vs. access point, what are VPNs, etc.)
  • A self-starter and independent thinker capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to understand technical topics at a high level and simplify them for an intuitive user experience
  • Willingness to be hands-on with equipment and learn how things work on-the-job
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to strategize and think from a customer-centric perspective

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years of experience, or is a recent/upcoming graduate
