Position overview Position title: Researcher Educator for Geriatrics, Gerontology, and Palliative Care
Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $82,200-$240,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position description

The Division of Geriatrics, Gerontology, and Palliative Care at the University of California, San Diego, Department of Medicine (http://med.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body is actively recruiting academic faculty positions in Geriatrics and Palliative Care.

Teaching and research responsibilities will include Geriatric workforce education and community-based participatory research.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (Required at Time of Application)

Candidates must have a PhD, EdD, or other related doctoral degrees with an emphasis relevant to Geriatrics, Gerontology, and Palliative Care or related areas.

Candidates must also have proven research activity in areas related to health disparities, community-based participatory research, and/or older adult populations.

Preferred qualifications

Candidates with experience in program development and evaluation are preferred.
