DESCRIPTION

Involves designing, conducting and supporting supervisory, management, technical and non-technical training efforts for staff and faculty.

Works with business units to determine training needs and develop appropriate training programs, technology and learning approaches accordingly.

Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced training and development professional to resolve a wide range of training issues and needs assessments.

Develops new training programs, and works on complex training courses of diverse scope. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for delivering training and development programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• California Guard Registration.
• Six (6) years of related experience, education / training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus two years of related experience as an instructor / security.
• Experience and proven success in a training-related role.
• Must be able to work independently and adjust training style to class participants.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified CPI, Taser and / or Personal Safety instructor.
• Five (5) years security / law enforcement experience.
• Healthcare setting and / or Security department within a healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated experience teaching and developing security and law enforcement curricula.
• Ability to obtain and maintain BSIS.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

• Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
• Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range : $48,900 - $102,300 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent : $23.42 - $48.99

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.

The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
