What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims UAT Analyst position at UCare?

The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Analyst is responsible for managing UAT testing for configuration changes in UCare's claims adjudication system, workflow system and other related systems used by the Configuration and Claims Operations department. This individual is responsible for the primary development of UAT testing strategies including; creating testing plans and scenarios, preparing test cases, conducting UAT testing and reviews results for final UAT business sign-off. The individual must demonstrate independent judgment to perform analysis of business requirements and system specifications, prioritize testing activities for configuration changes, execute test plans and scripts to facilitate complex testing activities, provide specific technical guidance on defects to business stakeholders, BAs and IT.


  • Understand the CCO and UCare Information Technology (IT) technical landscape and the impact of requested business critical system changes.

  • Work closely with Business Analysts, project and IT team members to understand business requirements. Attend design reviews, requirements sessions, and core team meetings. Review business requirement documentation to understand the end user requirements in order to validate system functionality operates as specified.

  • Analyze and identify gaps in requirements based on knowledge of the business systems processes and end to end processes.

  • Partner with business and technical resources as necessary to identify test data and appropriate test environment(s).

  • Define UAT testing scope. Create and maintain detailed test cases/scripts or other documents as specified, ensuring scenarios are directly aligned to requirements.

  • Review and understand QA test results documented by IT QA team members and translate those into actionable items.

  • Produce and analyze UAT results, document in a test management tool, troubleshoot defects accordingly, and identify root causes.

  • Communicate effectively and succinctly, yet thoroughly when appropriate, with stakeholders and CCO and IT teams, including leadership, BAs, Technical BAs, Configuration Analysts, QA testers and analysts to ensure relevant information is shared and understood.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

QA and/or UAT Analyst experience. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience

Business Analysis background, including UAT. QA background with an emphasis in UAT. Strong Healthcare acumen/background, preferably on the payer side of the business. Project Management experience.
