What are the responsibilities and job description for the In-Venue Producer position at UCF Athletics Association, Inc.?
UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and Big XII member, is seeking applications for the position of In-Venue Producer.
Under the direction of the Associate A.D., Production, the selected candidate is engaged with the development, production, and distribution of Athletics Productions content. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create XPression templates and animations, using Xpression tools and provided base graphic elements – such as 3D models, still images, and clips
- Design XPression templates and animations from scratch, using XPression tools
- Utilize XPression Visual Logic and scripting for automated, dynamic templates
- Setup XPression Datalinq to pull in external data feeds and interface with external data aggregation systems
- Use Ross Dashboard to organize and execute script elements provided by Senior Motion Graphics Designer or template created in Xpression
- Use Ross Carbonite Black Switchers to execute script elements and create dynamic looks to display information across video boards.
- Direct, Produce, or Technical Direct when needed for multiple events.
- Collaborate with external team (#Content, ChargeOn fund, Corporate Partnerships, Tickets, Marketing and Video Services) in generating greater awareness of the UCF brand and sport to enhance interest and attendance while maximizing overall revenue opportunities.
- Responsible for the creation and execution of videoboards for Football, Volleyball, Basketball (M&W), and Baseball
- Shoot and edit green screens
- Actively research best practices, and train / develop staff on proper use of Ross equipment, to include Carbonite and Xpression (RossTalk, Ross Dashboard, Dataling, and Xpression Tessera experience a plus)
- Provide supervision, scheduling, training and logistical support to student staff and contracted vendors where appropriate, to include, but not limited to, providing substantial input into the hiring, termination, or other changes of employment status of student support staff, as well as the identification and selection and payment of appropriate vendors related to area of assignment.
- As a member of the Production team, selected candidate will be engaged in the Athletics game day experience, to include evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience. Prefer Xpression experience as well as producing and directing experience in a fast paced environment. Strong video production hardware / software skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail also preferred.
Due to the nature/scope of Athletics and Athletics events, position may require work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
