What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interface Engine Architect (Hybrid Remote) position at UCLA Health?
Responsibilities
In this role, you will assist in obtaining an in-depth understanding of core interface function and assist in identifying and gathering the necessary information to configure Epic interfaces. You will participate in design and architecture of the systems integration services and applications and you will be key in identifying the key data elements and how they relate to various interfacing scenarios. With your in-depth understanding of core interface function and knowledge of configuring Epic interfaces, you will conduct functional and integrated testing in preparation for live cut over and document current interface workflows and projected workflows with Epic Bridges.
Additionally, you will be expected to troubleshoot integration applications issues and verify the scope of interface changes and update the interface engine code along with the interface scope documentation. You will be a champion for ISS and serve as a role model to encourage others to embrace operational changes associated with ISS initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems or a related field. Five years of experience in job offered, or as a software engineer or a related occupational title. Alternatively, the employer will accept three years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience with JAVA, JUNIT, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Quarkus, Apache Camel, Spring Boot, J2EE architecture and development.
- Demonstrated experience in all phase levels of architecture development in Dev/Sec/Ops area.
- Demonstrated experience in analysis, design, implementation, testing, and migration, as well as monitoring and supporting many systems or applications.
- Demonstrated experience with MLLP, HTTPS, JMS, SFTP, Database, IBM MQ or equivalent middleware.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Bash and Shell Scripting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of RESTful API, JSON, and SOAP web services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Github Actions, Helm, and CI-CD technology.
- Demonstrated experience with healthcare data which includes HL7 and FHIR.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including developing system workflow and business process flow analysis and design, and effectively communicate complex architecture.
- Should be able support business operation including day-to-day incidences, service request, change management, and on-call duties.
