Description
The Medical Assistant willparticipate in the total patient care in the ambulatory setting,recognizing normal and abnormal signs and symptoms and life threateningemergencies. You will act as back office staff, assisting in patient care, andmaintaining high standards of care.Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Possession of Medical Assistant Certificate
Possession of active phlebotomy certification.
Possession of active CPR certification/BLS.
Minimum of two years' experience as medical assistant a physician office, medical facility or in an Internal Medical/Family Practice.
Knowledge of normal and abnormal symptomology and life threatening medical problems.
Ability to administer CPR.
Ability to skillfully administer oral, IM and subcutaneous medications.
Ability to perform venipuncture with skill, adhering to all OSHA PPE safety requirements.
Ability to obtain accurate vital signs and information for medication refill requests.
Ability to assist in medical emergencies and office procedures.
Skill to accurately perform a 12-lead EKG.
Ability to schedule patient appointments and encounter patients using the MCCS Appointment Scheduling/Encounter Registration Programs.
Knowledge and ability to set up and assist physician with any procedures such as, but not limited to audiometry, spirometry, 02 saturation levels, skin tag and mole removals, ear lavage, colposcopies, flexible sigmoidoscopies.
Knowledge of MSDS and emergency treatments.
Ability to work overtime in case of emergency.
