You will also assess patient, family and staff learning needs, deliver
appropriate clinical education and promote effective working
relationships. This involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
of dedicated professionals to develop and implement a care plan, including
providing detailed care instructions.
The Manager Functional Area is responsible
for the fiscal, human resources, clinical, materials management, and
communication operations of the tertiary academic pediatric ICU/Pediatric Cardiothoracic unit and pediatric transport. UCLA Mattel Children's at Ronald Reagan
medical center is a regional referral center for all complex pediatric
subspecialties in medicine and surgery. The Manager
Functional Area's professional role description is based on ANA's Nursing
Administration's Scope of Standards and UCLA's Nursing Professional Practice
Model.
Salary range: $58.91-$151.25 Hourly
Qualifications
We're seeking
a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:
- Current California RN license required
- MSN or BSN with a Master's degree in a related field required
- 5 years of acute care experience as an RN, required
- Previous PICU experience, highly desired
- 3 years of leadership or management experience required
- BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
- Nursing Professional Leadership certification (i.e. ANCC or AONE) preferred
- Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis
- Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments
- Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff
