What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator, Curatorial position at UCLA?
The Administrative Coordinator, Curatorial provides high-level executive support to the Deputy Director, Curatorial Affairs and Chief Curator, and project and administrative coordination for the Curatorial Department, including coordinating calendars and a high volume of internal and external appointments and meetings; screening, sorting, and responding as appropriate to a high volume of telephone, written, and email correspondence; processing invoices; representing the Curatorial Department to both staff and external constituents with a high degree of efficiency, poise, and discretion; streamlining and implementing Curatorial Department procedures; coordinating travel plans for Deputy Director, Curatorial Affairs and Chief Curator; and corresponding with artists, lenders, and other institutions. The Coordinator also assists the Chief Curator in performing research on and related to the Hammer Contemporary Collection; coordinates art acquisitions; performs research on donors and artworks considered in relation to the Museum's 25th Anniversary; and provides coordination and support to the Museum's Board of Overseers.

1. BA in related field (art history or arts) strongly preferred.

2. 2 years experience working as an administrative assistant and demonstrated office and administrative skills.

4. Highly organized, efficient, and attentive to detail, with excellent follow-up skills.

6. Prior art museum experience and knowledge of museum operations, standards, practices, and procedures.
