Job Posting for Information Services Manager at UCLA
The School of Arts and Architecture (SOAA) is comprised of four academic departments: Architecture and Urban Design, Art, Design|Media Arts and World Arts and Cultures/Dance and includes oversight of three public arts units (the UCLA Hammer Museum, The Fowler Museum and the Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA) as well as the Visual and Performing Arts Education (VAPAE) program coordinated by the Dean's Office.
The Information Services manager for SOAA provides strategic information management for school-wide academic, administrative and research activities. Incumbent provides direct supervision of infrastructure and associated technical staff; is responsible for planning and ensuring IT security and compliance with applicable laws and university policies. Incumbent is responsible for SOAA network design and implementation.

Demonstrated skill in administration of RHEL-based Linux distributions and Windows Server and associated server hardware.
Required
Demonstrated skill operating virtualized servers using Linux KVM/qemu.
Required
Demonstrated skill in providing file, print and web applications services in a heterogeneous working environment, including integrating services with Windows and MacOS clients via Samba.
Required
Demonstrated fluency with server software including, but not limited to, Apache, BIND DNS, dhcpd, Samba, MySQL, MS SQL and Postgresql.

Experience with configuration management processes and tools (git and Ansible preferred).

Skill using scripting languages for automation and maintenance of Linux system.

Troubleshoot, diagnose server security issues and performance problems and quickly implement solutions.
