The Program & Outreach Coordinator provides program support, serving as an integral team member under the general supervision of the Director and Manager of the Center for Near Eastern Studies (CNES).
Coordinator is responsible for the logistics and execution from inception to completion of a variety of programming including event planning, advertising via email announcements and social media, as well as liaising with various co-sponsoring campus entities and administrative department. Events include both in person, hybrid and online: meetings, lecture series, conferences, workshops, book talks. As needed, incumbent will set up video teleconferencing and webinars. The incumbent is responsible for travel arrangements, and paying and reimbursing vendors in a timely manner in cooperation with the Business and Finance Office and maintain up to date records of expenditures and event details.
The incumbent works closely with the Program Manager and Director to keep them appraised of program tasks and to provide daily operational support on the full range of the center's activities. A mastery of various computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom is necessary. They will also assist with distribution of program evaluations, help with data collection for faculty grants in support of the Center's educational mission. Serving as support staff, Coordinator will help organize programs particularly in the area of K-12 public schools, post-secondary institutions, the media, government, and business.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information with tact and discretion. Ability to take initiative, pay attention to detail, work independently, organize workflow, establish a productive work environment and follow through on assignments.
