Summer Internship -Sales

Miramar, Florida

UDT is a technology enabler that helps clients in major industries evaluate, architect, provide, secure, and manage technology on the go, in the rack and in the cloud. UDT provides technical, professional, cyber security and managed services. This is a full-time hybrid, summer internship.

Our UDT team is looking for an achievement-driven Summer Intern with a strong commitment to exceptional customer service and relationship building to contribute to UDT’s growth. This role’s primary focus is to grow in the understanding of UDT’s offerings. Then, translate that knowledge to provide assistance in the effort to acquire and build a customer portfolio focusing on recurring revenue business.

Requirements/ Duties

  • Ability to perform against KPI’s when assigned various new roles and tasks.
  • Generate new leads and identify business opportunities for technology products, services and solutions.
  • Position requires prospecting activities that may include cold calling, introductory prospecting emails and other sales activities.
  • Learn UDT’s solution offerings through online self-paced tools, live virtual sessions, and shadowing.
  • Learn and develop the ability to negotiate with peers, partners and customers using a win/win philosophy.
  • Promote the sale of vendor/manufacturer products and UDT’s offers.
  • Integrate innovative sales strategies into internal meetings, proposals and customer presentations.
  • Deliver winning presentations to prospects and customers at all levels within an organization. Presentations will address product uses, benefits, competitive advantages and facilitate technical resources.
  • If provided the opportunity, participate in joint-efforts to handle escalations and participate directly in complex sales situations to negotiate and/or resolve issues to ensure client satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in either 2-yr or 4-yr Higher Education Institution.
  • Ability to learn and territory sales plans and/or sales plays with an acquisition mind set.
  • Understand the competitive landscape to develop win-based proposals and pricing.
  • Desire to grow in the knowledge of solution selling and creating value for business clients.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic, honest, driven and self-motivated attitude.
  • Ability to work individually and in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to influence individuals to obtain maximum results.
